I am a member of RICS, CIArb, and SCSI. I have over 25 years experience in the construction industry. I have a BSc in quantity surveying and MSc in construction law along with project management qualifications. I have twenty plus years experience working for contractors and clients in the UK and Ireland. I am dual qualified in quantity surveying and construction law with experience of adjudication in the UK.
I possess extensive knowledge of UK and Irish construction markets including technology, health & safety, work practices and construction techniques and law & legislation. I am computer literate in MS Excel, Word and Project and CostX (BIM) software. I consider myself to be diligent, punctual and personable, and a good team player. I have good communication skills and an eye for detail in all matters technical, commercial, contractual and legal. I have a special interest in contractual and legal matters. I consider that I possess the following attributes; integrity, competency, confidentiality and honesty coupled with a desire to achieve results in the field for my client and myself.
Qualifications
1990-1991; Diploma in surveying and estimating completed in North Lincolnshire College.
1991-1994; Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying (1st Class hons) completed at University of Portsmouth. Core modules completed in measurement, economics, construction law, general law and contract administration. BSc
2013 -2014; MSc in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution at University of Wolverhampton (Merit). Whilst working part time – study included English Law, Construction Law, Dispute resolution (adjudication & arbitration), Forms of contract and dissertation. MSc
RICS Diploma in Adjudication (for membership of CIarb); study ongoing – part time study.
